Erin & Mike . Vancouver Convention Centre Wedding

Erin & Mike got married last year at the Vancouver Convention Centre.. travelling all the way from South Carolina and bringing along their family and closest friends to share in the beauty of Vancouver. They really couldn’t have picked a more beautiful location to say their vows - with the North Shore Mountains in the background it really doesn’t get more gorgeous than that!
Also, I say this with every wedding.. and it’s true.. I really do attract and work with the best couples. These two were no exception. And such a wonderful team that helped make this one happen, including Olivia from Dreamgroup. And Young, Hip & Married who officiated. And of course my 2nd shooter - Liesel Sanday (who is so fantastic to have along and is based out of Edmonton)

And before I share their photos, Erin wrote the sweetest review for me and since I don’t officially have a review site, I thought I would share it here:

We were immediately drawn to Justine's style when we were researching wedding. We wanted someone who could beautifully capture the day as it happened instead of taking pictures of fake poses and unauthentic "sentimental" moments. What we ended up with was truly mesmerizing.

It's rare for me to see an artist whose work stuns me and Justine's finished product was nothing short of amazing. What we were most impressed by was her ability to take a seemingly normal picture yet capture nuances and emotions in a way that would leave us staring at a photo trying to find other details we missed on the first pass. She captures moments, emotions, colors, lighting, and reflections in a single take without you ever noticing she's there.

With all the chaos of the day, Justine managed to detail parents reliving their own romances, siblings sneaking whiskey shots with the bride, groomsmen exchanging last-minute mischievous smirks with their groom, guests' pure joy and entertainment, and two people falling in love throughout it all.

As a bride and groom, there's so much you miss on your own wedding day and we got to see it all through the very talented lens of Justine Boulin and her camera. We cannot recommend Justine and her team highly enough. She is one of the most impressive talents we've ever worked with and we highly recommend her to anyone searching for a perfect wedding photographer.”

Thank you so much for choosing to get married here in Vancouver and for having me document your day! It was an honor from start to finish. So many of my favorites -

Angel & Jamil . Vancouver Backyard Wedding

Angel & Jamil got married last summer in his parent’s back yard here in Vancouver. They planned the whole thing in a matter of weeks - she rented a dress, his parents said they would host, set up chairs, made hors d’oeuvres to pass around and had their closest friends all come for their afternoon celebration. At the very last minute they decided to hire a photographer and I’m so so happy they did because this type of wedding is one of my favorites to document. Relaxed, stress free, a bride & groom who are focused on the important stuff and not all the extra. These two are the perfect example of how to throw a wedding without planning for over a year, stressing about all the little details and spending a gazillion dollars on it all... and hiring the right photographer to capture it all of course ;).
Their afternoon in photos -

Julie & Brenden . Cabo Wedding Preview

Julie and Brenden got married in Cabo last weekend and it was such a fantastic day! I was so so honored to come down and document it - plus the warmth of Mexico in December is a nice little change while it’s cold and rainy here in Vancouver! Congrats again you two - a little preview of your day with much more to come -

Hanna & Stefan . Bowen Island Wedding . Vancouver BC

Hanna and Stefan got married earlier this summer on Bowen Island. It was pretty much perfect - from the two of them getting ready together in a cabin they rented, their closest friends and family in attendance, and a hillside ceremony with the bride in bare feet before heading to Meadowbrook Corner, a cute little reception spot, for dinner and dancing. So many fun moments throughout the day and such a beautiful location, I had a hard time narrowing down images.

Laura & Robin . Vancouver Museum of Anthropology Wedding Preview

Laura and Robin flew up from L.A. and got married this past weekend at the Museum of Anthropology. When chatting with Laura about her wedding, I knew it was going to be nothing short of incredible - it did not disappoint! A first look in the middle of Jericho Beach (requested by the bride), the entire wedding designed by the bride as well as her dress and her bridesmaid's dresses (they were stunning!), champagne towers, the officiant getting in on the shot skis, executed on the day by Filosophi, and so much more goodness - this was such a great wedding to start the season with.
So many immediate favorites, I could have previewed much more. But here are a handful I pulled out right away to share. So many more to come soon. Congratulations once again you two! xo

Antony & Sarah . Brix Wedding Preview

These two got proposed with ring pops last year and had their wedding this past weekend at the Brix in Yaletown. With family and friends travelling from all over North America (and England!) to be here, it was a pretty fantastic day.
A handful of photos to preview their day & many more to come!

Haley & Wade . Vancouver Backyard Wedding

Haley & Wade got married on Wade's family property in the middle of the August heat wave last summer. It was one of my favorites from this past summer, complete with a pig roast, live band, and the most adorable flower girls. So many fun filled moments.. making it hard to narrow it down. I hope you enjoy the story of their day as much as I enjoyed photographing it!
