Antony & Sarah . Brix Wedding Preview

These two got proposed with ring pops last year and had their wedding this past weekend at the Brix in Yaletown. With family and friends travelling from all over North America (and England!) to be here, it was a pretty fantastic day.
A handful of photos to preview their day & many more to come!

Maggie & Tony . Lonsdale Quay Wedding

Maggie & Tony were the first wedding I photographed for this year - on the Chinese New Year at Lonsdale Quay. Their day was full of so many great little moments that I had a really difficult time deciding which images to leave out.. so apologies for the photo overload! But seriously, it was such a fun one to start the year off with - Congratulations once again you two and thank you for having me there to document it! Also huge thank you to my second shooter Liesel Sanday and Kasia of Alicia Keats Weddings for making the day run so smoothly!

Many, MANY of my favorites below -

Kim & Kevin. Mayfair Lakes Golf Course. Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Rachelle & Tyson . Vancouver Wedding Photographer

After every wedding I photograph I declare that one my new favorite and I truly believe it... I think I've lucked out to work with the most amazing, in love, laid back couples that throw these ridiculously awesome weddings focused on all the right stuff (you know, the relationships and celebration of togetherness and love and all that stuff.. Not the Pinterest perfect stuff and the stress of all the, often expensive, extras that are for show..). Rachelle and Tyson's wedding was no exception. I could literally feel their love for each other and their family and friends love for them all day. It was a pretty fantastic day from start to finish. Many of my favorites from their day -

congratulations again you two! xo

Sarah & Bruce . Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Every now and then, I love to pick up a few 2nd shooting jobs in between my own weddings. This past summer I 2nd shot several weddings and I truly loved them all.  I find not being the 'main' photographer it allows me to relax in a way that allows me to shoot more candid moments and to be a bit more creative. There's a lot more room for mistakes and 'missing' the shot per se because of trying something new and different or chasing 'moments'. Obviously this helps my own wedding shooting immensely because I can practice and try out some things I wouldn't otherwise while I'm the 2nd shooter. That being said, if I 2nd shot with you this past summer, I apologize for the sheer amount of photos I took that you had to go through.. sometimes when trying out new things, a lot more photos are taken! ha!

Now that wedding season is over, I'm finally going through these photos. The first one, was shot way at the beginning of the summer with Kyla Ewert out in Abbotsford. Shannon & Bruce got married in Bruce's backyard (which is one of the most beautiful backyards I've ever seen by the way!), and it was a pretty incredible day. Trying to focus solely on documentary photos and 'moment's (minus a few portraits here and there when I couldn't resist with the light)  here are many of my favorites from their day -

2015 BC Wedding Awards Finalist

It has been almost a week since the 2015 BC Wedding awards. To say I'm still in shock and on cloud nine is a bit of an understatement. I had decided to attend the event with some friends, socialize and meet a few a people in the wedding industry. I had never in a million years imagined that I would be called as a finalist for not one, but two BC Wedding Awards!!

I was a finalist for the 2015 BEST PHOTOJOURNALISM PHOTOGRAPH and a finalist (and this one I was really excited for!) 2015 BEST OVERALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

When the presenters called the 3 finalists for the first award, and I saw my name and image up on the big screen, I think my heart almost jumped out of my chest. It was so unexpected. And I was so so honored and thrilled to be recognized. I would have been more then happy with that, so when my name was called the 2nd time around, this time for best overall wedding photography, I pretty much almost started crying. It was a pretty exciting night. And I was so thankful and happy and excited (insert pretty much every good emotion here) to have been recognized for the two awards.

This image was one taken during Jen & Joe's backyard wedding. Such an incredible day, if you haven't had a chance to view the wedding blog post yet, you can do that HERE

12 images from a single wedding are submitted and I chose to submit images from Sam & Josh's wedding that was held in Whistler. It was one of my favorites I shot this past summer and if you haven't had a chance to look at the entire blog post yet, you can do that HERE

Congratulations to all the other winners and finalists. It was such a fun night and was so great to see so many talented people recognized for all their hard work. This was my first time attending, and there are so many talented individuals in this industry - from photographers, to planners and florists -  that it was nice to put a few names to faces. I'm so thankful to 'work' in a profession where we can all come together and celebrate each other for an evening. I don't think I stopped grinning ear to ear for the entire night!

And to the couples who allow me to document their day - thank you a million times over. Because of you, your trust and your support, I'm able to call what I do and love so much 'work'.

And now all of that being said, I am still booking for the 2016 (and 2017 if you can believe it!) wedding seasons. Send me a message HERE and I would love to be in touch and chat more about your wedding plans.

Natalie & Jimy . Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Natalie & Jimy's wedding a month ago at the Croatian Cultural Centre was pretty incredible Such a celebration of love, family & good times. These two know how to put on a wedding and have been some of my favorite and most genuine people to photograph  (you may remember  their engagement which was one of my favorites). As per usual I had a hard time narrowing down photos for the blog post, but nonetheless these are some (many!) of my favorites that tell the story of their day from beginning to end. And a special thanks to my super awesome 2nd shooter Rose from Simply Rose Photography!

A Shaughnessy Restaurant wedding preview . Vancouver wedding photography

First looks at a parking garage downtown Vancouver, photos at Crab Park, and a gorgeous wedding at Shaghnessy Restaurant. Elena & Keith got married last weekend among all their family and friends. It was nothing short of beautiful and I was so honored to document their day for them. This is a bit of a bigger preview of images than I normally do, but I had a really really hard time narrowing it down to just a few. There will be a lot more in a few weeks but for now, please enjoy these ones from their wedding day - **and as a side note - as I′m finishing up this season, bookings for next year are slowly starting to come in. If you′re interested in having me shoot your wedding next year, please send me a message at and we can start talking about your day. **
